고전 15:1-11 (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)

1    형제들아 내가 너희에게 전한 복음을 너희에게 알게 하노니

이는 너희가 받은 것이요 또 그 가운데 선 것이라

 
2    너희가 만일 내가 전한 그 말을 굳게 지키고 헛되이 믿지 아니하였으면

그로 말미암아 구원을 받으리라

3    내가 받은 것을 먼저 너희에게 전하였노니

이는 성경대로 그리스도께서 우리 죄를 위하여 죽으시고

4    장사 지낸 바 되셨다가 성경대로 사흘 만에 다시 살아나사

5    게바에게 보이시고 후에 열두 제자에게와

 
6    그 후에 오백여 형제에게 일시에 보이셨나니

그 중에 지금까지 대다수는 살아 있고 어떤 사람은 잠들었으며

7    그 후에 야고보에게 보이셨으며 그 후에 모든 사도에게와

8    맨 나중에 만삭되지 못하여 난 자 같은 내게도 보이셨느니라

 
9    나는 사도 중에 가장 작은 자라 나는 하나님의 교회를 박해하였으므로

사도라 칭함 받기를 감당하지 못할 자니라

10    그러나 내가 나 된 것은 하나님의 은혜로 된 것이니

내게 주신 그의 은혜가 헛되지 아니하여 내가 모든 사도보다 더 많이 수고하였으나

내가 한 것이 아니요 오직 나와 함께 하신 하나님의 은혜로라

 
11    그러므로 나나 그들이나 이같이 전파하매

너희도 이같이 믿었느니라

1    My friends, I want you to remember the message that I preached

and that you believed and trusted.

2    You will be saved by this message, if you hold firmly to it.

But if you don't, your faith was all for nothing.

3    I told you the most important part of the message exactly as it was told to me.

That part is: Christ died for our sins, as the Scriptures say.

4    He was buried, and three days later he was raised to life,

as the Scriptures say.

5    Christ appeared to Peter, then to the twelve.

Peter: See the note at 1.12.

6    After this, he appeared to more than five hundred other followers.

Most of them are still alive, but some have died.

 
7    He also appeared to James,

and then to all of the apostles.

8    Finally, he appeared to me,

 even though I am like someone who was born at the wrong time.

who was born at the wrong time: The meaning of these words in Greek is not clear.

9    I am the least important of all the apostles. In fact,

I caused so much trouble for God's church that

I don't even deserve to be called an apostle.

10    But God was kind! He made me what I am,

and his wonderful kindness wasn't wasted.

I worked much harder than any of the other apostles,

although it was really God's kindness at work and not me.

11    But it doesn't matter if I preached or if they preached.

All of you believed the message just the same.
