역대상 29:26-30 (1 Chronicles 29:26-30)

26    이새의 아들 다윗이

온 이스라엘의 왕이 되어

27    이스라엘을 다스린 기간은 사십 년이라

헤브론에서 칠 년간 다스렸고 예루살렘에서 삼십삼 년을 다스렸더라

 
28    그가 나이 많아 늙도록 부하고 존귀를 누리다가 죽으매

그의 아들 솔로몬이 대신하여 왕이 되니라

 
29    다윗 왕의 행적은 처음부터 끝까지 선견자 사무엘의 글과

 선지자 나단의 글과 선견자 갓의 글에 다 기록되고

30    또 그의 왕 된 일과 그의 권세와 그와 이스라엘과

온 세상 모든 나라의 지난 날의 역사가 다 기록되어 있느니라

26    David the son of Jesse was king of Israel

 
27    for forty years. He ruled from Hebron for seven years

and from Jerusalem for thirty-three years.

 
28    David was rich and respected and lived to be an old man.

Then he died, and his son Solomon became king.

29    Everything David did while he was king is included in

the history written by the prophets Samuel,

Nathan, and Gad.

30    They wrote about his powerful rule

and about the things that happened not only to him,

but also to Israel and the other nations.
