사도행전 10:34-43 (Acts 10:34-43)

34    베드로가 입을 열어 말하되

내가 참으로 하나님은 사람의 외모를 보지 아니하시고

35    각 나라 중 하나님을 경외하며 의를 행하는 사람은

다 받으시는 줄 깨달았도다

36    만유의 주 되신 예수 그리스도로 말미암아

화평의 복음을 전하사 이스라엘 자손들에게 보내신 말씀

37    곧 요한이 그 세례를 반포한 후에 갈릴리에서 시작하여

온 유대에 두루 전파된 그것을 너희도 알거니와

헬, 또는 침례

38    하나님이 나사렛 예수에게 성령과 능력을 기름 붓듯 하셨으매

그가 두루 다니시며 선한 일을 행하시고 마귀에게 눌린 모든 사람을 고치셨으니

이는 하나님이 함께 하셨음이라

 
39    우리는 유대인의 땅과 예루살렘에서 그가 행하신 모든 일에 증인이라

그를 그들이 나무에 달아 죽였으나

40    하나님이 사흘 만에 다시 살리사 나타내시되

 
41    모든 백성에게 하신 것이 아니요 오직 미리 택하신 증인

곧 죽은 자 가운데서 부활하신 후 그를 모시고

음식을 먹은 우리에게 하신 것이라

42    우리에게 명하사 백성에게 전도하되

하나님이 살아 있는 자와 죽은 자의 재판장으로 정하신 자가

곧 이 사람인 것을 증언하게 하셨고

43    그에 대하여 모든 선지자도 증언하되

그를 믿는 사람들이 다

그의 이름을 힘입어 죄 사함을 받는다 하였느니라

34    Peter then said:

Now I am certain that God treats all people alike.

 
35    God is pleased with everyone who worships him

and does right, no matter what nation they come from.

36    This is the same message that God gave to the people of Israel,

when he sent Jesus Christ,

the Lord of all, to offer peace to them.

37    You surely know what happened everywhere in Judea. I

t all began in Galilee after John had told everyone to be baptized.

what happened: Or "the message that went."

38    God gave the Holy Spirit and power to Jesus from Nazareth.

He was with Jesus, as he went around doing good

and healing everyone who was under the power of the devil.

39    We all saw what Jesus did both in Israel

and in the city of Jerusalem. Jesus was put to death on a cross.

 
40    But three days later,

God raised him to life and let him be seen.

 
41    Not everyone saw him.

He was seen only by us, who ate and drank with him after he was raised from death.

 We were the ones God chose to tell others about him.

42    God told us to announce clearly to the people

that Jesus is the one he has chosen to judge the living and the dead.

43    Every one of the prophets has said

that all who have faith in Jesus will have their sins forgiven in his name.
